About Staad
Who we are
Staad is a family-run business specialising in earth-moving machinery. We supply, hire out, maintain and build a wide range of machines, from mini-excavators and midi-excavators to large excavators and bespoke attachments. In addition, we support our customers with advice, rapid service – either on-site or in our workshops – and technical solutions tailored to their day-to-day operations.
Alongside our traditional Develon diesel machines, we are fully committed to electric earth-moving machinery. Driven by the conviction that the sector can and must become more sustainable, we develop innovative electric machines and battery packs. Since 2025, we have also been manufacturing our own excavators under the STAAD brand. In this way, we combine years of practical experience with innovation and are building a future where power, reliability and emission-free operation come together.

Staad culture
Committed
With us, you’re not on your own. We help one another, contribute ideas and are happy to roll up our sleeves. We take the initiative, provide opportunities for growth and development, and look out for one another. At the same time, we manage our resources, costs and the environment responsibly.

We treat each other with respect. We listen to one another, show understanding and value everyone’s unique qualities. Together, we create a working atmosphere where you can be yourself, feel welcome and enjoy your work.

the locations
At Staad, we operate from several locations, each with its own area of expertise. Our head office in Veghel forms the heart of the organisation. Here you’ll find not only our offices and workshop, but also the R&D department, where we work every day on innovative solutions for the earthmoving sector of tomorrow.
In Oss, we build and test our high-quality battery packs. Here, they are carefully assembled and fully prepared for use in the field. Curious about what goes on at this site? Then read more about our branch in Oss.
Our branch in Harlingen is where technology comes to life. Here, we convert machines from diesel to fully electric and manufacture our own STAAD machines. Every day, our specialists work on powerful machines that combine performance, reliability and innovation.
And finally, our new Parts Centre in Schijndel is set to become the beating heart of logistics and assembly preparation. From electrification kits to cab fittings: here we lay a vital foundation for the production of our Staad Europe machines.
Our people
But Staad isn’t just about machines. Together with a dedicated team, we’re building an organisation where people come first. A place where ideas are welcome, responsibility is taken and colleagues can count on one another. We believe in an open and down-to-earth culture, where hard work, having fun and personal development go hand in hand.
Working at Staad means contributing ideas, taking the initiative and achieving results together. We value short lines of communication, a practical approach and the ambition to improve a little every day. This combination of commitment, entrepreneurship and team spirit makes Staad a place where we not only build innovative machines, but also invest in the development of our people.
More than just work
Working hard and having a laugh together: that’s Staad. With a down-to-earth approach and a real can-do attitude, no two days are the same.
Every day, we work together on exciting projects, innovative solutions and machines we’re proud of. We love celebrating our successes together. That’s why we regularly organise team activities, summer and winter get-togethers and other fun gatherings. Colleagues also get together regularly outside of work.
We love to get things done, but we also love a good atmosphere. It’s precisely this combination that ensures we remain strong as a team, enjoy going to work and give our very best every day.
